The Korean Language School(KLS) is  one of the Soonchunhyang University’s Language institute which was established in 2004.

With systemic curriculum, the KLS helps not only International Langue School Students, but also foreigners residing in Korea to develop their Korean language ability and understand Korean Culture. The KLS teachers have many years teaching experience in this field and keep studying how to teach Korean language efficiently to foreign students. Also they do their best to take care of each student until they adapt to a new life style and culture in Korea.

Programs

Korean Classes Monday to Friday
  • Intensive Korean Class to prepare students for degree programs
Cultural Field Trip 1-2 times a quarter
  • Local festivals
  • Visit cultural site and watch Korean Performances
TOPIK Support 6 times a year
  • Free TOPIK Special Classes offered for 2 ~ 3 weeks before TOPIK test
  • Free Shuttle Bus will be provided for TOPIK test
Other Activities Year Round
  • SCH Korean Writing Contest
  • Global Day : Sharing diverse cultures and foods with other international students and Korean students
  • Many events for international students

Course Curriculum

Korean Language School offers four quarters of intensive Korean language courses a year and each quarter consists of 10 weeks.

Class Time
  • Four hours a day (Total 200 hours per quarter)
  • Morning time class : 9am ~ 12:50pm
  • Day time class : 2pm~5:50pm

  • Level 1 ~ Level 6
Subjects
  • Korean Speaking (8 hours a week), Korean Listening (4 hours a week)
  • Korean Reading (4 hours a week), Korean Writing (4 hours a week)
Cultural Field Trip
  • Attend local festival, experience Korean traditional culture, visit cultural site, watch cultural performance

Soonchunhyang Korean Language School has classrooms specialized for Korean language education and separated counseling rooms to help students adapt to Korean life and to instruct studying direction.
