Alien Registration Card (ARC) is an identification card for international students studying in Korea
Foreigners staying in Korea   for more than 90 days must register for an Alien Registration Card (ARC) at a local immigration office within 90 days from the date of entry.

Required Documents
- Application form for Alien Registration
- Passport, and one copy of the passport ID page (the page with your photo)
- Passport sized color photo (3.5cm×4.5cm with white background; must be taken within the last 6 months)
- Certificate of Enrollment
- Proof of Residency
- Application fee 30,000 KRW
- Tuberculosis clearance certificate (if applicable)
Fingerprint Registration & Alien Registration Card
- Applicants are also required to visit Immigration Office to register fingerprints. It takes about 4-6 weeks to receive Alien Registration Card (ARC) after submitting the application.
Change of Address Reporting Requirement
All foreign residents must report changes in the particulars of their Alien Registration Card within fourteen (14) days of the occurrence to local immigration office. Failure to report can result in the imposition of a fine.
- Name, date of birth, nationality changes
- Passport number, date of issue & expiration of the passport changes
- Address change
How to Report Change

Notify the International Office or
Global Supporters Office of any changes

Go to www.hikorea.go.kr and report changes online or
Visit local immigration office and report changes in person
※ Students are required to notify the International Office of any changes before reporting it to the immigration office.

- Supporting documents for change of applicant’s information(e.g. name, passport number changes)
- In case of change of address, proof of residency such as rental contract is required. The report can be done at the nearest community service center.
How to Replace a Lost/Missing Alien Registration Card
All foreign residents must report to local immigration office within fourteen (14) days of the occurrence of loss. Failure to report can result in the imposition of a fine.

- An applicant him/her self is required to visit local immigration office (power of attorney is not possible)
