About The Department of Global Open Major

The Department of Global Open Major goal is

to cultivate students with customized talents, global communication skills and demonstrate their major capabilities on the world stage. The curriculum of the Global Open Major is teaching Korean language education and general education in Freshmen year. From the Sophomore year, students choose their major that suits their aptitude.

International Studies
International Studies goal is to cultivate international professionals with expertise in international studies.
Courses for acquisition of professional knowledge in international field, cultivating outstanding language skills and cultivating global leaders will be given.   All courses are taught in English and this is the only English taught major at Soonchunhyang University.   International Studies major students get to meet other student from all over the world and study with them.
